Lee Jun-seok expects "conscientious movement" from Lee Nak-yeon
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, has once again urged former leader and Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Nak-yeon to accept a special investigation to uncover the truth behind the Daejang-dong scandal.
In a YTN radio interview on the 7th, Lee Jun-seok said, "It seems that some presidential candidates within the Democratic Party, including former leader Lee, as well as lawmakers Lee Sang-min and Seol Hoon, are aware of the issues, so I expect their conscientious actions."
He added, "Regardless of the Democratic Party primary results, even after the candidate is confirmed as Governor Lee Jae-myung of Gyeonggi Province, public suspicion will not dissipate, and it could become a risk for the entire Democratic Party."
He emphasized, "The reason the 2016 special investigation into the state affairs manipulation was possible was because the then-ruling Saenuri Party joined forces with the opposition."
