Government Holds 'Semiconductor Investment Review Meeting' with Relevant Ministries and Local Governments
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The government has begun reviewing various difficulties related to permits and regulations to support major investments by semiconductor companies.
On the 7th, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held a 'Semiconductor Investment Review Meeting' chaired by Ju Youngjun, Director of Industrial Policy, with participation from related ministries and local governments.
Ju Youngjun, Director of Industrial Policy, stated, "To ensure that semiconductor companies' investments are implemented in a timely manner, related ministries and local governments should proceed with the rationalization of related permits and regulations with a proactive administrative attitude and a sense of urgency." He added, "We will continue to hold regular semiconductor investment review meetings to actively support the resolution of corporate investment difficulties."
