View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] The police have launched an investigation after allegations surfaced that a middle school student in Ulsan suffered severe school violence.
On the 6th, a post by a netizen identified as A, who introduced themselves as the older sister of the victim student, was uploaded on internet communities. According to A, the victim student, B, was assaulted approximately 430 times on various parts of his body including the abdomen, solar plexus, and bladder by the perpetrator student, C, from late August to September. The assaults took place in locations such as the school locker room and B's home.
C reportedly took advantage of times with few onlookers, such as during morning assembly, breaks, and lunch, to bully B. It is also known that C extorted money and valuables from B.
A claimed that even when she was at home, B was "beaten in the next room with the door closed," and "my younger brother endured 50 blows without making a sound to avoid being caught while being assaulted."
She also lamented, "My brother has a colon disease that requires regular visits to a university hospital, yet C assaulted his abdomen knowing this," and "C sometimes beat my brother for hanging out with friends he was not close to, and sometimes for no reason at all."
On the previous day (the 5th), A also posted this content on the Blue House National Petition board. In the petition, A claimed that C showed no remorse and did not even apologize.
She said, "When C and his mother met with our parents, there was not a single apology," and "The perpetrator’s side even sued me for defamation. It is an absurd situation where the victim receives no apology and only faces a lawsuit."
She appealed, "I believe the victim should be protected and the perpetrator should be punished appropriately for their crime," and "Please protect my younger brother, the victim, and ensure the perpetrator receives strict punishment."
Meanwhile, the police received the report on the 3rd and have completed questioning the victim student B. They plan to summon the perpetrator student for questioning within this week.
