At the delivery ceremony, Won Gibok, Director of Future Education at the Gyeongnam Office of Education, Park Mikyung, Director of the Gyeongnam Child Protection Agency, and Jung Hyunkyo, Executive Director of Cuckoo Electronics, attended.
This delivery ceremony was held by the Cuckoo Social Welfare Foundation for the purpose of 'supporting underprivileged groups by Cuckoo.'
Cuckoo stated that due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, with families spending extended time together, child abuse increased by 11.8%, recognizing the seriousness of this issue and actively promoting support for children in crisis in cooperation with the Gyeongnam Office of Education and the Gyeongnam Child Protection Agency.
The home appliances will be delivered to families affected by child abuse selected through the Gyeongnam Child Protection Agency.
Director Jung of Cuckoo said, “We will work to restore normal daily life for families in crisis and ensure that no child abuse occurs for any reason by taking the lead as a company to help build a social safety net.”
