Dongmyung University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation and Nam-gu, Busan announced on the 6th that they have completed the "One-Person Creator Discovery and Training Course" as part of the 2021 Regional and Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project.
The program lasted a total of 12 weeks, totaling 96 hours, and 16 participants completed the course on the 30th of last month.
Youth and small business owners from the Busan area participated. The goal was for them to work as creative one-person creators, promoting their own businesses independently to increase sales. All participant expenses were fully covered free of charge.
The training was conducted in Dongmyung University's advanced One-Person Creator Studio. The 16 participants who completed the course went through all stages including channel planning, studio shooting, content production, video editing, thumbnail creation, and channel management, and received certificates of completion.
Small business owner Hwang Mi-ri (female, in her 40s) said, "It was great to receive education from various expert instructors in the best facilities and environment," adding, "It was a wonderful training that was very beneficial for small business owners and self-employed people facing difficulties due to COVID-19."
Professor Han Eun-jung of the Department of Advertising and PR, who oversaw the project, said, "I am glad to help local youth going through difficult times with employment and to support the promotion and expansion of local small businesses," and added, "We will continue to carry out such industry-academic cooperation programs to provide more benefits and opportunities to local residents."
