The support targets Gimhae citizens who raise pets among recipients under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act and the near-poverty class.
For pets implanted with an internal wireless electronic identification device, up to 240,000 KRW per household for animal hospital medical expenses will be supported, with 180,000 KRW (75%) covered and the remainder borne by the individual.
The scope of eligible medical treatment includes preventive measures against animal diseases, including vaccinations, as well as routine animal medical care and surgeries (excluding tail docking, declawing, vocal cord surgery, and tear stain removal surgery).
Households wishing to apply must submit an application form, claim form, and payment receipt to the relevant administrative welfare center by the 19th of next month. After verification processes such as beneficiary investigation, subsidies are planned to be paid by the end of November.
