Seoul City Reports 530 COVID-19 Cases by 6 PM... 139 More Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was preliminarily counted at 530 from midnight to 6 p.m. on the 5th, over an 18-hour period.
This is 139 more than the 391 cases recorded during the same time frame on the previous day (4th), and 48 fewer than the 578 cases reported a week earlier (September 28). The total daily cases were 521 on the 4th and 1,054 on September 28.
The daily number of cases in Seoul reached a record high of 1,222 on the 24th of last month. Although the numbers had been declining since the 28th, the preliminary count on this day surpassed the final count of the previous day, indicating a rebound.
