Shinhan Card Launches 2030 Advisory Group 'MZ Player' to Strengthen Communication with MZ Customers
Consumer Guide Webtoon for Generation Z 'Myeongrang Card Life' to be Released in October
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 29th that it has launched 'MZ Player,' a panel composed of customers in their 20s and 30s, to enhance understanding and responsiveness to MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers, and held its first meeting.
The meeting was held at Shinhan Card headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, in an untact (contactless) manner considering the COVID-19 situation, with attendance from Jin Mi-kyung, Chief Consumer Protection Officer (CCO) of Shinhan Card, and Jin Jung-won, head of the Customer Protection Team.
Since last year, Shinhan Card has been operating 'Shinhan Cider,' the industry's first online and offline customer panel consisting of 3,000 members. This is to identify the products and services customers want and to reflect their voices throughout management. Among them, the MZ Player, composed of customers in their 20s and 30s, was selected last August and has started full-scale activities.
MZ Player is actively engaged in communication activities such as analyzing and proposing improvements from the customer perspective on 'Shinhan My Car,' Shinhan Financial Group's recently renewed joint automobile platform; posting reviews of Shinhan Card products and services on social media; and suggesting marketing strategies considering the MZ generation's lifestyle. They also plan to experience Shinhan Card's upcoming renewed mobile platform and Shinhan Card Zepeto World and share opinions from the MZ generation's perspective.
In addition, Shinhan Card is producing consumer guide content called 'Cheerful Card Life' in a webtoon format to provide useful information to Generation Z, who are first-time credit card users. 'Cheerful Card Life' will be available next month on Shinhan Card's mobile platform and official blog.

A Shinhan Card official said, "Through various panel activities of MZ Player, we aim to accurately grasp the core of products and services that customers want and strengthen the business model based on MZ customers," adding, "To realize Shinhan Financial Group's new vision of 'Easier, More Comfortable, and Newer Finance,' we will continue broad activities that reflect customers' voices."
