View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Capital Market Institute announced on the 29th that it held a general meeting of members and appointed Professor Shin Jin-young of Yonsei University as the new president.
President Shin was born in 1962, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, and after working at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Ajou University, has been a professor at Yonsei University’s College of Business since 2002.
He has served as a member of the National Pension Fund Performance Evaluation and Compensation Committee, the Financial Development Deliberation Committee, and the Private Pension Fund Investment Pool Operating Committee. He also served as president of the Korean Securities Association and the Korea Corporate Governance Service. Currently, he is an expert in finance and capital markets, serving as the chairman of the KOSDAQ Disclosure Committee.
