Mercedes-Benz Korea Launches PHEV Models GLE 350 e 4MATIC and Coupe
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on the 29th that it has officially launched the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models of the premium sport utility vehicle (SUV) GLE, 'The New Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 e 4MATIC' and 'The New Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 e 4MATIC Coupe' in Korea.
The hybrid drive system of the two models combines an inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers a maximum output of 211 horsepower and a maximum torque of 35.7 kg.m with a new electric motor that produces a maximum output of 100 kW and a maximum torque of 44.9 kg.m, boasting excellent driving performance. Additionally, with a generous battery capacity of 31.2 kWh, the electric driving range reaches up to 66 km based on domestic standards (96 km according to WLTP standards).

The prices of The New Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 e 4MATIC and The New Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 e 4MATIC Coupe are 114.6 million KRW and 117.6 million KRW respectively, including VAT. Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Korea offers a free warranty of up to 8 years/160,000 km (whichever comes first) on the high-voltage lithium-ion battery installed in The New GLE 350 e 4MATIC and The New GLE 350 e 4MATIC Coupe to provide plug-in hybrid customers with more convenient vehicle operation.
