Korea Forest Service Announces Nationwide Youth Forest Love Art Contest Until Next Month 18th
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Forest Service announced on the 23rd that it will accept submissions for the "31st National Youth Forest Love Contest" through the Korea Forest Love Youth Group until the 18th of next month.
The contest is held in four categories?drawing, writing, photography, and video?each focusing on themes such as the beauty of forests, environment, and life, as well as environmental pollution topics like carbon neutrality, fine dust, and climate change.
Participation is open to all elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide, and submissions can be made through the "Forest Love Contest" website.
After receiving entries, the Korea Forest Service plans to select 213 outstanding works and announce the final winners in November.
Awards will be given to outstanding participants, including the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award (5 Grand Prize winners), Korea Forest Service Director Award (16 Excellence Award winners), Seoul and Gyeonggi Province Education Superintendent Awards, and Youth Organization Council President Awards (24 Merit Award winners).
The contest is held annually to encourage youth to reflect on the importance of nurturing and protecting forests and to foster emotional development and creativity through the process of expressing these values in artistic works.
