Xi Jinping's Virtual Speech at the UN General Assembly on the 21st
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Xi Jinping, President of China, will deliver a virtual speech at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on the 21st.
According to the UN General Assembly website, President Xi will be the 17th speaker in the keynote speeches by world leaders starting at 9 a.m. on the day of the 76th UN General Assembly. His speech will be presented in the form of a pre-recorded video.
Hua Chunying, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also confirmed that President Xi will attend the assembly virtually and make an "important statement."
Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden will be the second speaker on the same day, and President Moon Jae-in will be the 14th speaker.
