National Pension Service Opens Recruitment for Fund Management Experts... "Hiring 5 Senior Fund Managers"
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The National Pension Service (NPS) Fund Management Headquarters, led by Director Kim Yong-jin, announced on the 17th that it will conduct the third open recruitment of new employees for the Fund Management Headquarters in 2021, considering the stable operation of the fund and investment diversification.
The Fund Management Headquarters will not impose restrictions on investment practical experience during this recruitment process. The number of positions to be filled is five, and a strengthened hiring procedure, including a written exam and a two-stage interview process, will be implemented to select outstanding talent.
Until now, the Fund Management Headquarters has selected qualified fund managers through document screening and interviews, but following a regulation revision in June this year, the recruitment doors have been opened to applicants without investment practical experience.
The National Pension Service operates a talent development program called the NPS WING’s Program, which provides overseas training, specialized education, and opportunities to work at overseas investment institutions to select excellent personnel and strengthen employee capabilities in preparation for the era of a 1,000 trillion won fund. This program will also be applied to the newly hired employees selected this time.
Applications will be accepted from the 17th until October 1st (deadline at 3 PM), and the final successful candidates are expected to be appointed in January next year. The entire recruitment process will be conducted in a blind manner (excluding information such as academic background, age, gender, and family status).
