Hyundai Kefico Begins Mass Production of 'Mobilgo' Drive System for Electric Two-Wheelers
Engine Specifications and Equivalent Performance of 125~150cc Internal Combustion Motorcycle Engines
Total Control Solutions Including Drive System, Vehicle Control, IoT, and Cooling System
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hyundai Kefico, a major parts supplier of Hyundai Motor Group, announced on the 15th that it has started mass production of drive systems for electric two-wheelers.
Hyundai Kefico recently succeeded in developing the electric two-wheeler dedicated drive system 'MOBILGO' based on its existing internal combustion engine powertrain and electric vehicle control technology development capabilities.
MOBILGO delivers performance equivalent to 125~150cc internal combustion engine two-wheelers and consists of a total control solution including the drive system, vehicle control, Internet of Things (IoT), and cooling system.
MOBILGO can achieve speeds exceeding 90 km/h and a single-charge driving range of over 150 km, enabling acceleration beyond that of internal combustion engines and sustained operation at top speed. Additionally, with the application of 96V high voltage, system optimization, and Korea's first water cooling system, it can drive smoothly even on Korea's steep hills.
Hyundai Kefico also developed and provides 'MOLDA,' an IoT-linked mobility data platform service, to enhance convenience for electric two-wheeler riders.
Chang-seop Bang, CEO of Hyundai Kefico, said, "We will diversify our product lineup from 50cc~100cc to over 250cc and take the lead in building the domestic electric two-wheeler industry ecosystem, contributing to promoting the excellence of eco-friendly K-mobility."
