Yeonggwang-gun Conducts 'Customized Population Education' for Elementary School Students
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 16th that it conducted customized population education for about 160 third-grade students at Yeonggwang Elementary School from the 13th to the 15th.
The county operates a ‘Visiting Customized Population Classroom’ for all age groups to improve overall social awareness of population issues.
This education was conducted by a professional instructor in the field of population education from the Population Health and Welfare Association, who visited and communicated at the students’ level, targeting students in their value formation period.
They also discussed the seriousness of low birthrate and aging society, work-life balance (Work-Life Balance), shared parenting, and overcoming population issues through the realization of a gender-equal society, sharing a time to empathize with the importance of family.
A county official said, “It is very meaningful to have conducted education on population issues targeting students who are the future protagonists,” and added, “We will continue to conduct this education to improve the awareness of county residents.”
