Lotte Confectionery's 'Chic Choc Secret' Surpasses 10 Million Packs Sold in Just 3 Months
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Lotte Confectionery announced on the 16th that its ‘Chic Choc Secret,’ launched in June, surpassed 10 million cumulative sales within three months of release. This figure is based on individual packs, meaning approximately 1.3 packs were sold every second. If the products were lined up, they would stretch about 1,050 km, enough to cover a round trip between Seoul and Busan with some distance to spare.
The secret to the popularity of ‘Chic Choc Secret’ lies in its rich chocolate flavor and unique texture. Maintaining the concept of ‘Chic Choc,’ which features a whole chocolate embedded on top, the product enhances the crispy texture of the cookie while adding a soft chocolate spread inside, delivering a richer chocolate taste along with a ‘geotba-sokchok’ (crispy outside, moist inside) texture.
