"We Are Here Too" Xiaomi Unveils '11T' Series Featuring 120W Fast Charging
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Xiaomi has unveiled the ‘Xiaomi 11T’ series, featuring fast charging technology, entering the global flagship smartphone market competition against Samsung Electronics, Apple, and others.
On the 15th (local time), Xiaomi held an online product launch event and introduced the Xiaomi 11T series. The newly revealed lineup includes three models: the flagship ‘Xiaomi 11T’, ‘Xiaomi 11T Pro’, and the budget-friendly ‘Xiaomi 11 Lite’.
The top-tier 11T Pro model’s standout feature is its support for 120-watt (W) wired HyperCharge. Using HyperCharge, the large 5000mAh battery can be fully charged in just 17 minutes. Xiaomi explained, “72% can be charged in 10 minutes, enabling 7 hours of video playback and 2 hours of 1080p video recording.” The package includes a 120W fast charger, but wireless charging is not supported.
The 11T Pro features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The application processor (AP) is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888. It comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB.
The camera setup includes a triple rear camera system with a 108-megapixel wide-angle lens with an f/1.75 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel telemacro lens. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel punch-hole selfie camera located at the top center of the display.
The dimensions and weight are 164.1mm x 76.9mm x 8.8mm and 204g, respectively. It is available in three color options: Gray, White, and Blue. Additionally, it features a fingerprint scanner below the volume buttons on the right side, IP53-rated water and dust resistance, and dual Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
The 11T model’s exterior is almost identical to the Pro model. It measures 164.1mm x 76.9mm x 8.8mm and weighs 203g. It is also offered in Gray, White, and Blue color options. It has a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, and the camera setup is the same triple camera system with a 108-megapixel wide-angle lens as the Pro model.
However, there are differences in the AP and charging compared to the Pro model. The AP is MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Ultra, and while the battery capacity is the same 5000mAh, it supports 67W wired charging, allowing a full charge in 36 minutes.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite, as the name suggests, is a budget model. It features a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G. It has a 4250mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging.
