Learn About Korea's First Launch Vehicle 'Nuriho' at Seoul Station Promotion Center
Operation from the 15th to October 31st
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] Curious about Korea's first space launch vehicle 'Nuriho,' scheduled to launch on October 21? During the Chuseok holiday and other times, you can visit the Seoul Station exhibition hall with your children to learn more in detail.
On the 15th, the Ministry of Science and ICT opened the Korean launch vehicle 'Nuriho' exhibition hall at Seoul Station, which will operate until the 31st of next month. Nuriho is the first Korean space launch vehicle developed purely with domestic technology by Korean researchers, launched from Korean soil and Korea's own launch pad (Naro Space Center). Over 300 companies participated in the 12-year development process, accumulating experience and competitiveness in launch vehicle development. This launch is expected to be a stepping stone for a great leap forward in Korea's space industry in the New Space era led by the private sector.
The exhibition hall is set up in a 6×6㎡ space in front of the ticket office inside the Seoul Station concourse. It displays a 1/10 scale model of Nuriho along with models of Korea's past launch vehicles, as well as various videos and photos from the development process. With about 80,000 daily Seoul Station users visiting the exhibition hall, visitors can easily get acquainted with Nuriho and participate in simple activities such as writing support messages.
There is also an event where visitors who upload certification photos taken at the photo zone prepared with the Nuriho model, along with their support messages, to social networking services (SNS) will receive science gifts such as Nuriho pens.
