Temporary Allowance for Visits with Vaccinated Individuals at Nursing Hospitals in Gwangju Area
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Contact visits between COVID-19 vaccination completers in the Gwangju area and residents of elderly care facilities and nursing hospitals will be temporarily allowed.
The Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 14th that, in celebration of the Chuseok holiday until the 26th, visitations will be permitted at all social distancing levels (including level 4).
However, this applies only if both the hospitalized patients and visitors are 'vaccination completers' who have passed two weeks after their second vaccine dose.
Contact visits will take place in single rooms or separate independent spaces while following quarantine rules such as wearing masks and hand sanitization.
The city plans to ensure thorough measures to minimize infection transmission concerns by dispersing visitation times and numbers through prior reservations.
