Provincial Assembly Member Lee Kwang-il Elected as Democratic Party Floor Leader of Jeonnam Provincial Assembly
The Democratic Party Will Lead the Advancement of Jeollanam-do Provincial Council
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Kyung-taek] Lee Kwang-il, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Council (Yeosu 1, re-elected), was elected as the floor leader of the 11th Jeonnam Provincial Council Democratic Party negotiation group.
The Jeonnam Provincial Council Democratic Party held a general meeting of members on the 10th and elected Lee Kwang-il, a re-elected member from Yeosu, as the representative of the negotiation group. The term of the new representative Lee Kwang-il is until June 30, 2022.
New floor leader Lee Kwang-il said, "I feel a deep sense of responsibility in taking on this important role, and I will take the lead so that the development of the Democratic Party can directly contribute to the development of the Jeonnam Provincial Council." He added, "I will strive for efficient floor management, listen more carefully to the voices of senior and fellow council members, communicate, and do my best to become a floor leader who can create a harmonious environment."
As the representative member of the negotiation group, Lee Kwang-il will play a central role in ▲integrating affiliated members and supporting legislative activities ▲recommending appointments and improvements of standing and special committee members ▲recommending one member for the Budget and Accounts Committee ▲recommending one ex officio operating committee member and one committee member.
Meanwhile, Floor Leader Lee Kwang-il previously served as the chairman of the 11th Jeonnam Provincial Council Budget and Accounts Special Committee, chairman of the Gwangyang Bay Marine Ecosystem Conservation Special Committee, and member of the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee. Currently, he is serving as the chairman of the Jeollanam-do Fisheries Resource Conservation Measures Special Committee and as a member of the Education Committee.
