Government Designates 8 Additional Hydrogen Specialized Companies Including Nexplus
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 13th that it has designated 8 additional companies as hydrogen-specialized companies.
The hydrogen-specialized company designation system is a system that issues a certificate if the proportion of sales related to the hydrogen business or the proportion of research and development investment meets the requirements according to the Hydrogen Act. When designated as a hydrogen-specialized company, support is provided for market development and technology commercialization, and companies can also receive customized technology and management consulting from experts.
The newly designated hydrogen-specialized companies include Nexplus, which mass-produces porous separator plates, a core component of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles; Samjung ENC, which independently developed cooling devices for hydrogen chargers; and Balmax Technology, which designs and constructs hydrogen charging stations. Accordingly, the number of hydrogen-specialized companies has increased to 19 since 11 companies were first designated in June.
