Park Beom-gye "Personnel action on Son Jun-sung was reviewed but will be observed"
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] Regarding the 'accusation inducement' suspicion involving former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, Park Beom-gye, Minister of Justice, mentioned the possibility of personnel action against Son Joon-sung, the Human Rights Protection Officer at Daegu High Prosecutors' Office, who is under investigation.
On the 13th, Minister Park, while heading to the Ministry of Justice Government Gwacheon Office, responded to reporters' questions about whether there are plans for personnel action against Officer Son by saying, "We have reviewed it, but for now, we will observe the situation a bit longer."
Regarding whether the Supreme Prosecutors' Office will take over the investigation, he stated, "The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) has already effectively started the investigation, and within the scope that does not overlap with the CIO, a fact-finding investigation related to the suspicion involving a current prosecutor will be conducted." He added that he was "not well informed" about the progress of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office's own fact-finding investigation as he had not received a report.
