Ministry of Foreign Affairs Extends Special Travel Advisory Until Next Month 13th
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 13th that it will extend the special travel advisory for all countries and regions overseas travel until the 13th of next month, considering the global spread of COVID-19.
The special travel advisory is issued for urgent short-term risks and corresponds to travel alert level 2 (travel caution) or higher and level 3 (recommendation to evacuate) or lower.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged the cancellation or postponement of overseas travel and asked citizens abroad to exercise special caution for their personal safety by refraining from movement.
The government has been continuously extending the special travel advisory since it was first issued on March 23 of last year.

Going forward, the government plans to review the phased lifting of the advisory by considering domestic and international vaccination rates, quarantine status, mutual recognition of vaccination certificates, and discussions on travel safety zones.
