[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Seohyun] Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate and Governor of Gyeonggi Province, stated that he would not be complacent with the 'Lee Jae-myung dominance theory,' saying, "The moment you think 'Isn't Lee Jae-myung going to be the candidate anyway? (Eohumyeong),' victory flies away."
On the 12th, through his Facebook, Lee asked his supporters once again, saying, "Please do not lose your tension until the very end and stay with me. The side that is more desperate wins the election." Earlier, Lee recorded a majority of votes in both the Gangwon Province tour primary and the first Super Week.
He said, "Two months ago, when I declared my candidacy, I never thought I would get a majority of votes. I was a non-mainstream without lineage or organization. With a humble heart and attitude, I will follow the path the people tell me to take," emphasizing, "Regardless of progressive or conservative, left or right, if it helps the people, I will make decisions and accomplish it. I will definitely recreate the administration."
He added, "The true face of the unresolved deep-rooted corruption from the state affairs manipulation is being revealed," and said, "I will surely uphold the people's desire that we cannot go back to before the Candlelight Revolution." He also stated, "There will be many more thorns ahead. Black propaganda, political maneuvers, targeted investigations against me... I will overcome them all," and declared, "I will take the lead in opening the path for the people."
He continued, "The third voter recruitment is ongoing until the 14th. Please gather one more supporter until the last moment," and said, "I will continue to firmly join hands with respected candidates Kim Du-kwan, Chung Sye-kyun, Lee Nak-yeon, Park Yong-jin, and Choo Mi-ae to run together for the Democratic Party's victory. I will uphold the spirit of one team."
