Agreed to Technical Exchange and Cooperation in Business Agreement on the 13th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Facilities Corporation, which manages 5,000 km of highways including car-only roads such as Gangbyeonbuk-ro and Olympic-daero, and Korea Expressway Corporation have decided to join forces to share road maintenance technologies and strive to find better management methods.
On the 13th, Seoul Facilities Corporation announced that it signed a business agreement with Korea Expressway Corporation at the corporation's office in Majang-dong, Seongdong-gu, pledging to develop customized maintenance technologies for exclusive roads to contribute to the safe living of citizens. Seoul Facilities Corporation Chairman Cho Sung-il and Korea Expressway Corporation President Kim Jin-sook signed the business agreement at the corporation's office on the 13th.
The corporation operates 11 car-only roads including Olympic-daero, Gangbyeonbuk-ro, Naebu-sunhwan-ro, Dongbu-gansen-ro, and Gangnam-sunhwan-ro, as well as 24 Seoul city projects such as Seoul World Cup Stadium, Gocheok Sky Dome, Cheonggyecheon Stream, and Seoul Children's Grand Park.
Through the business agreement, both organizations will collaborate on ▲technology exchange related to the safety and maintenance of aging road infrastructure ▲technology cooperation in R&D fields and promotion of PSC open innovation collaboration ▲utilization and participation in technology markets and road infrastructure management off-squares ▲sharing data on major disaster-related issues and response system establishment ▲support of professional personnel for technical advice, safety inspections, and evaluations.

Seoul Facilities Corporation Chairman Cho Sung-il said, “This business agreement is significant in that the corporation empathizes with Korea Expressway Corporation on the aging problem of domestic road infrastructure and begins cooperation to solve it,” adding, “We will continue to share knowledge and experience with more organizations and cooperate to contribute to the advancement of aging infrastructure maintenance technologies.”
