Video Congratulatory Message for the 58th Broadcasting Day... "Hoping Broadcasting Becomes a Vessel for the Diverse Voices of the Marginalized"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in, in a video congratulatory message on the occasion of the 58th Broadcasting Day and the 48th Korea Broadcasting Awards ceremony on the 10th, expressed hope that "broadcasting becomes a vessel that embraces the diverse voices of the weak and marginalized," and stated, "We will be a strong supporter of broadcasters so that excellent programs can be produced more without interference."
President Moon evaluated, "Over the past year, despite the adverse conditions of COVID-19, our broadcasting has stood by the people with greater responsibility in each and every program," and added, "We have worked to accurately deliver quarantine-related information and correct misinformation."
President Moon said, "Among the programs submitted this year, many deeply illuminated issues in local communities. The efforts to regain vitality from the regions with vivid perspectives and unique voices of local residents stand out greatly."
He also stated, "Through broadcasting, we confirm that we think of others' hearts as our own, wish to help those in difficulty, and strive to contribute to the interests and good of the community," and added, "The sweat shed by broadcasters is creating the driving force for all of us to dream together of a better life and a better society."
