Minister of Government Legislation Urges Local Government Officials to Actively Implement Autonomous Legislation
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Government Legislation announced that it held the '2021 2nd Local Legislation Capacity Development Meeting' on the 10th via video conference with local government officials in charge of autonomous legislative affairs from six regions including Busan and Gyeongnam.
At the meeting, the Ministry of Government Legislation provided guidance on the content and utilization methods of its autonomous legislative support system, including suggestions on local ordinances, legislative consulting, and opinions on laws and regulations. It also introduced the main contents of the 'Framework Act on Administrative Regulations,' which establishes principles and standards for administrative law including local ordinances. Local government officials shared their experiences receiving legislative support from the Ministry and conveyed requests such as expanding legislative education for local government employees.
