View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Amid escalating allegations of 'soliciting prosecution' surrounding Yoon Seok-yeol, a presidential pre-candidate from the People Power Party, Mr. A, who identified himself as the whistleblower, claimed through a media outlet that "Kim Woong, a member of the People Power Party, instructed to submit the complaint to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office."
In an interview with JTBC on the 9th, whistleblower Mr. A said, "I felt the seriousness of the matter was great. I watched the press conference of Representative Kim and former Prosecutor General Yoon, and after much consideration, I decided to reveal myself as the whistleblower."
Mr. A explained the circumstances under which the 'soliciting prosecution' report was released through 'Newsbus,' stating, "I only informed 'Newsbus' that I received materials from Representative Kim, and I am completely unrelated to any political manipulation," adding, "I am currently not affiliated with any camp of either the ruling or opposition parties." This appears to clarify suspicions raised by the People Power Party that Mr. A was involved in political manipulation by joining a specific camp.
Mr. A also said, "It is true that I received materials from Representative Kim at the time, but I did not separately deliver the materials to the party," and added, "I did not even know that the person named 'Son Jun-sung' appearing in the Telegram chat was a prosecutor."
Furthermore, Mr. A stated, "Representative Kim told me over the phone at the time to submit the complaint to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office," adding, "I did not understand the meaning of that at the time."
