According to the county on the 8th, on the 7th, County Governor Lee Sang-ik and county public officials held a shopping event to support traditional markets struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic in celebration of Chuseok.
The event was conducted in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines.
County employees visited traditional markets and purchased Chuseok ritual items such as fruits and vegetables using Hampyeong Love Gift Certificates.
Furthermore, Governor Lee personally shopped and listened to the difficulties of merchants and residents on-site, offering words of encouragement and engaging in public welfare activities.
The market was bustling not only with employees but also residents looking to purchase fresh agricultural and specialty products, such as seasonal blue crabs, which are in peak season for the Chuseok rush.
