Police Launch Investigation into Newsbus Publisher over 'Accusation Solicitation' Report
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] The police have launched an investigation into Lee Jin-dong, the publisher of Newsbus who reported on the 'whistleblowing solicitation' allegations involving the Supreme Prosecutors' Office during former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's tenure.
According to the police on the 7th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency assigned the case, in which the Judicial Examination Preparation Group (Sajunmo) filed a complaint against Lee on the 3rd for allegedly spreading false information under the Public Official Election Act, to the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit.

Sajunmo explained the reason for the complaint, stating, "Lee reported that former Prosecutor General Yoon instructed his subordinate Prosecutor Son Jun-sung to solicit whistleblowing, but Prosecutor Son, Assemblyman Kim Woong, and former Prosecutor General Yoon all denied the allegations as false."
