KFTC: "Post Office Now Also Uses Financial Authentication Certificates"
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] With the application of the Financial Certification Service of the Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute (KFTC) to the Korea Post, it can now be used across the entire financial sector.
According to KFTC on the 7th, Korea Post will be the first non-financial institution to issue the Financial Certification Service. Approximately 12.8 million Korea Post financial customers (based on deposit product customers) are expected to benefit from improved convenience.
From now on, customers can newly issue the Financial Certification Service through the Korea Post Smart Banking application (app) or internet banking website to use Korea Post financial services. From the 8th, for one month, customers who issue the Financial Certification Service via the Korea Post internet banking website or Smart Banking app will also receive prizes.
Meanwhile, NH Nonghyup Card has become the first card company to apply the Financial Certification Service, enabling 7.7 million customers to enjoy its benefits. NH Nonghyup Card users can use the Financial Certification Service for card-related tasks such as inquiries or automatic payment applications.

A KFTC official stated, “The use of the Financial Certification Service is explosively increasing in the entire financial sector, which is closely related to the economic life of the people, and in the public sector where sensitive personal information protection is required,” adding, “We will continue to improve security and convenience so that customers can authenticate safely and conveniently.”
