KAMA Conducts 'Chuseok Free Inspection Service' with Domestic Automakers

Emergency Dispatch Team Operates Constantly to Handle Vehicle Breakdowns and Accidents
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] The Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) announced on the 7th that it will conduct the '2021 Chuseok Holiday Free Vehicle Inspection Service' together with domestic automakers to ensure safe driving for vehicle owners during the Chuseok holiday.
This free vehicle inspection during the Chuseok holiday will be held for five days from 8:30 AM on the 13th to 5:30 PM on the 17th, with participation from domestic automakers Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, Korea GM, and Renault Samsung Motors.
Hyundai Motor Company will provide free inspection services at 22 directly operated service centers and 1,344 partner service centers (Blue Hands), while Kia will offer the service at 18 directly operated service centers and 792 partner service centers (Auto Q).
Korea GM will conduct free inspections at 9 directly operated service centers, and Renault Samsung Motors will do the same at 9 directly operated service centers.
During the free inspection period, customers visiting service centers can have their engine, air conditioning, braking system status, tire air pressure and wear condition, coolant and various oils, wipers, and fuse status checked.
If necessary after the free inspection, some consumable parts such as fuses will be provided free of charge on the spot.

Automakers also operate emergency dispatch teams at all times to prepare for situations such as vehicle breakdowns or traffic accidents during driving. A KAMA official said, "In case of an emergency, please use this service to receive prompt assistance from the nearest repair shop."
