Renault Samsung Motors "Wireless Easy Connect Updates for XM3, SM6, and More"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Renault Samsung Motors announced that from the 6th, it will wirelessly update the multimedia software of its Easy Connect system-equipped vehicles, including the XM3, SM6, Renault Captur, and Renault Zoe, to the latest version.
This update will be carried out using the OTA (Over The Air) method, which upgrades the software via wireless communication.
The main updates include the installation of the In-Car Payment app, simplification of switching between Korean and English keyboards, improved navigation destination search speed, and simplified operation methods for ventilated and heated seats.
Since the multimedia software is updated wirelessly through the Easy Connect communication network, the latest software will be automatically downloaded simply by turning on the ignition during the target period, without the need to visit a service network separately.
The wireless update will be conducted sequentially from September 6th to mid-October, and the company explained that individual notifications will be sent via KakaoTalk alerts to target customers according to the update schedule.
Additionally, the In-Car Payment feature will become available within one week after the update is completed, when the In-Car Payment app (Owin) is automatically installed in the vehicle.

The In-Car Payment service is a new concept of a simple payment system that allows ordering and receiving products entirely inside the vehicle. Unlike the existing drive-thru system, which requires ordering, payment, and pickup in separate offline spaces, this system significantly reduces waiting time.
