Disaster Safety Crisis Management Association and Korea Food Industry Association Sign Business Agreement
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The Disaster Safety Crisis Management Association (Chairman Kim Chan-seok) and the Korea Food Industry Association (Chairman Lee Hyo-yul) announced on the morning of the 3rd that they signed a business agreement for food safety and crisis management at the Korea Food Industry Association located in Bangbae-dong, Seoul.
Through the agreement, both organizations agreed to cooperate on ▲joint efforts to protect consumers and manage food safety ▲support for public health and the development of the food industry.
The Disaster Safety Crisis Management Association will support the Korea Food Industry Association in developing by integrating ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management based on food safety, and will seek cooperation measures to address potential hazards in the food industry ahead of the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act in January next year.
They also plan to carry out various activities such as joint education, research, writing, and policy recommendations related to food safety and crisis management, as well as collaboration with government and private sectors, hosting seminars, and disaster safety crisis management.
Yoo Moo-young, director of the Disaster Safety Crisis Management Association, said, "This agreement will be an important opportunity to raise voices so that balanced policies can be made for both consumers and the food industry."

Meanwhile, the Disaster Safety Crisis Management Association plans to hold a forum on serious accidents and disaster safety on the 19th of next month and will begin recruiting participants from mid-this month.
