Muan-gun Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Activities in Muan-eup Meokja Alley Shopping District's Attached Parking Lots
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 3rd that it will conduct an inspection of the management status of the attached parking lots to resolve parking difficulties on the roads around the 'Meokja Alley' shopping district between the old Muan Traditional Market in Muan-eup and the Muan Office of Education.
The county plans to carry out a two-week intensive crackdown on illegal activities from the 6th to the 17th to eradicate the misuse of attached parking lots in the Meokja Alley shopping district.
If serious violations such as illegal changes of use or failure to maintain functions are detected during this intensive crackdown period, the building owners will be ordered to restore the original state, and non-compliance will result in the imposition of enforcement fines.
Additionally, acts such as stacking goods inside the attached parking lots, installing illegal facilities for other uses, or blocking the parking lot entrances and exits, thereby damaging the original function of the parking lot, will be intensively monitored, and minor violations will be corrected on-site.
A county official stated, "It is illegal for building owners to arbitrarily change the use of attached parking lots just because it is their land," and urged, "Building owners and related parties are requested to operate the attached parking lots according to their approved use when obtaining building use approval."
