New COVID-19 Cases in Gwangju Remain in the 40s for Second Consecutive Day

This is the status of occurrences over the past 5 days. The daily number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the Gwangju area recorded 20 to 30 cases from last month but has exceeded 40 cases for two consecutive days since the beginning of this month.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 3rd, a total of 43 new confirmed cases were classified as numbers 4165 to 4175, including 41 local infections and 2 imported cases during the previous day.
Among the new confirmed cases, 21 were foreigners, accounting for nearly half, and 13 cases, including number 4168, were related to foreigners and testing in Gwangsan-gu.
At the logistics center located in Gwangsan-gu, following the confirmed case on the 31st of last month (Jeonnam 2591), 8 new cases including 4165, 4165, and 4173 occurred, totaling 21 cases cumulatively.
In Buk-gu, elderly people who knew each other from the senior job project held a private gathering, and after case number 4092 was first confirmed on the 1st, a total of 12 people have been infected in a chain, including numbers 4136 to 4138.
Cases 4135 and 4157 had contact with Jeonnam 2626, and 4158 is related to Gyeonggi-do Gwangju 2315, while 4164 is known to be related to Incheon 11778.
There are 2 confirmed cases, 4156 and 4167, whose infection routes have not been identified.
