Gwangju Nam-gu "Helping Elderly Living Alone Apply for Disaster Relief Funds"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byung-nae) will provide a service to assist with the application for the 5th National Disaster Relief Fund by visiting the homes of elderly people living alone.
Nam-gu plans to operate the 'Visiting National Support Fund Application Supporters' at 17 administrative welfare centers in the district from the 6th to the 17th of this month.
The target group includes elderly people living alone who have difficulty moving and single-person households with severe disabilities, with approximately 1,304 households identified within the district.
A Nam-gu official stated, "The Visiting National Support Fund Application Supporters aim to provide disaster relief funds more quickly to vulnerable residents who have difficulty moving. We kindly ask for your understanding that if there is a family member capable of movement within the household, the use of this service may be limited."
