The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.4 occurred around 6:39 PM on the 1st, 42 km north-northwest of Kilju, North Hamgyong Province, North Korea.
This earthquake ranks as the 13th largest earthquake to occur on the Korean Peninsula this year.
The epicenter is located at 41.30 degrees north latitude and 129.13 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 15 km.
