Supporting Smooth Social Integration through Sponsorship, Education, and Consulting Packages
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced on the 1st that it signed a business agreement for the 'Busan Metropolitan City Support Project for Independent Living of Protection-Ended Children' with Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Child Welfare Association at the Busan City Protection-Ended Children Independent Living Support Center.
This agreement was established to support the independence of protection-ended children in the Busan area and to resolve blind spots in protection. Attending the signing ceremony were Jeongwoo Cheon, Head of KAMCO Household Support Division, Hyesook Jeon, Director of the Busan Metropolitan City Women and Family Bureau, and Youngchan Na, President of the Busan Child Welfare Association.
Through this agreement, a package project will be promoted to help protection-ended children who lack a sufficient foundation for independence to stand on their own by providing social funding, financial, legal, and educational support for independent living, and housing stability consulting to facilitate a smooth transition into society.
First, starting this month and for three months, a donation box for supporting protection-ended children will be opened on the nationwide donation platform (Happy Bean), aiming to raise 10 million KRW from the entire population, and KAMCO will add a donation of 10 million KRW to support them.
In addition to nationwide fundraising and KAMCO donations, Busan City will further enhance the support effect by depositing a 1:1 matching fund (up to 50,000 KRW per month) into the 'Didim Seed Bank' for protection children.
