Seoul City Hosts Sangsaeng Sanghoe Chuseok Special Exhibition... Up to 50% Discount on Nationwide Agricultural and Specialty Products
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 31st that it will hold a direct holiday market featuring specialty products from the eight provinces in collaboration with Sangsaeng Sanghoe (store), Naver (online), and Lotte Department Store (store) from the 1st to the 20th of next month to celebrate Chuseok, the traditional Korean harvest festival.
At the ‘Sangsaeng Sanghoe’ store, a regional coexistence hub space where you can purchase specialty products from the eight provinces, a total of 416 products produced by 117 farms from 14 cities and provinces including Sangju and Jeju will be sold.
Chuseok gift sets composed of representative local specialties such as Sangju dried persimmons, Sancheong sanghwang mushrooms, and Nonsan strawberry vinegar, as well as ritual items like dried vegetables, yakgwa (traditional honey cookies), and traditional liquor, can be purchased at prices discounted by up to 50% from the original cost.
Naver will hold an online special exhibition from the 1st to the 12th where you can purchase 128 items of regional agricultural, marine, and livestock products from 128 farms nationwide. In addition to Chuseok gift sets, various regional products including agricultural, marine, livestock, and processed foods will be available for purchase.
Furthermore, through Naver Shopping Live broadcasts, sales broadcasts for Chuseok gift sets such as Gapyeong Hongro apples and Sangju Shine Muscat grapes will be conducted. Five broadcasts are scheduled between the 1st and 8th, allowing producers and consumers to communicate in real time and make purchases.
At Lotte Department Store, through the Chuseok gift set catalog ‘Chuseok Majung’ distributed at a total of 32 branches nationwide, nine farms and nine items can be purchased until the 20th of next month. The products introduced in the Lotte Chuseok gift catalog consist of excellent local agricultural specialties, ranging from the popular Seosan gamtae (seaweed) set sold at the ‘Sisi Hosi’ sales corner to Chungju apple hangwa (traditional sweets), Yeonggwang dried yellow corvina set, and Sangju dried persimmon set.
