[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Samsung Electronics unveiled the 'Gucci Smart Guide,' a digital application exclusively for Gucci stores, developed in collaboration with the Italian luxury brand Gucci, on the 31st.
The Gucci Smart Guide will be installed on the 'Galaxy Z Fold3' provided at Gucci's second flagship store in Korea, 'Gucci Gaok,' located in Itaewon, Seoul. Based on UWB (Ultra-Wideband) technology, it offers customers a smart shopping experience that combines online and offline elements.
Customers visiting Gucci Gaok can easily check product information and locations using the Gucci Smart Guide starting from this day, and if necessary, conveniently call staff to their location for face-to-face communication.
Additionally, by using the augmented reality (AR) feature in the Gucci Smart Guide, customers can virtually try on Gucci's latest sneakers, decorate selfie photos with Gucci digital stickers, and enjoy Gucci arcade games.
On the third floor of Gucci Gaok, Samsung Electronics' micro LED-based large modular screen, 'The Wall,' was utilized for the media art wall. Samsung explained that this space reinterprets the work of artist Park Seung-mo, displayed on the exterior wall of Gucci Gaok, as 3D interactive media art, providing an experience akin to visiting a gallery.
