All Listed Companies in Changwon Area Show Improved Sales and Operating Profit in First Half Compared to Last Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that the operating performance of all KOSPI-listed companies headquartered in Changwon improved compared to the same period last year.
On a consolidated basis, the cumulative sales of 21 KOSPI companies amounted to 17.2523 trillion KRW, an increase of 10.7% compared to the same period last year (national average +17.5%).
Operating profit was 1.0072 trillion KRW, up 86.9% from the same period last year (national average +118.9%), and net profit turned positive to 926.3 billion KRW from a loss in the first half of last year.

The sales of 11 KOSDAQ companies reached 1.2186 trillion KRW, up 42.2% compared to the same period last year (national average +17.6%), and operating profit and net profit turned positive from losses in the first half of last year, amounting to 56.2 billion KRW and 66.8 billion KRW respectively.
