View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The West Sea Regional Maritime Police Agency (Chief Lee Myung-jun) announced on the 30th that it conducted a 'Civil-Military-Government Joint Basic Disaster Preparedness Training' to prepare for a maritime cable car accident near Usuyeong, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
This training was promoted to establish a close cooperation system among the maritime police, related organizations, and the maritime cable car company to respond quickly in case of an accident.
Three maritime police vessels, one maritime police helicopter, one army vessel, one fire rescue vehicle, one ambulance, and Myeongnyang maritime cable car rescuers participated, conducting the training assuming a suspension of maritime cable car operations.
They conducted a joint, realistic training to rescue tourists trapped inside cabins after the maritime cable car operating between Usuyeong, Haenam, and Nokjin, Jindo, stopped in the maritime section due to an unknown cause.
