KMA "Up to 300mm Heavy Rain Until the 3rd of Next Month"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecasted in an online briefing on the 30th that from the 31st to the 3rd of next month, heavy rain exceeding 100mm nationwide and over 50mm per hour will fall.
In the online briefing, the KMA stated that heavy rain will fall across the country until the weekend, with some areas receiving more than 300mm.
Day by day, between the 31st and the 1st of next month, hot water vapor will be brought in by a strong southern wind combined with a small low-pressure system, starting rain mainly from the Chungcheong region to Jeonbuk and Gyeongbuk. On the 2nd, the precipitation area is expected to expand north to south due to a low-pressure system approaching from the west.
Until the 3rd, strong rain is expected in Gangwon Yeongdong and Gyeongbuk areas due to a mobile low-pressure system, while the southern regions are expected to experience heavy rain accompanied by a stationary front.
From the 31st to the 1st of next month, the morning low temperatures are expected to range from 18 to 25 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 22 to 31 degrees Celsius. The expected morning temperatures on the 2nd and 3rd are 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, with daytime temperatures ranging from 23 to 29 degrees Celsius.
