The National Intangible Heritage Center announced on the 30th that five masters who have participated in the intangible heritage residency program 'Yeneung Pungnyubang' will hold three planned performances next month under the theme 'Taking the First Step.' The intangible heritage Yeneung Pungnyubang is a program that supports masters from various fields across the country to interact and create new performances. The participants in this performance have been living at the Sarangchae of the National Intangible Heritage Center in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, for seven months since February, creating intangible heritage-based works to communicate with audiences.

Okyeonghee, a master of Gayageum Sanjo and Byeongchang, and Chamyunghee, a master of Seungjeonmu, will present 'Wolgageummu (月歌琴舞)' on the 1st of next month at Eolsseumaru of the National Intangible Heritage Center, combining the melody of the Gayageum with the dynamic dance movements of Seungjeonmu. Jeonggilseon, a master of Gayageum Sanjo and Byeongchang, and Seongjihye, a master of Jinju Geommu, will stage 'Geumson Eonni,' a story about a mother and daughter with different thoughts about their paths, on the 15th at the same venue. Byeon Jinseop, a master educator of Gyeonggi-do Dodanggut, will perform 'Your Journey' on the 15th at the Pungnyu Folk Theater in Seoul. This performance fuses the dance and songs of the Gunwoong Gut, a shamanistic ritual, to pray for the removal of misfortune and the invitation of good fortune (Jeaekchobok).
