The purpose stems from a malicious intent to extend power and continue enjoying dictatorial authority."
On the same day, ahead of the August extraordinary session plenary meeting, Kim attended the "National Filibuster Struggle to Abolish the Media Dictatorship Act" and said, "There is no such media dictatorship law or gag law in any free democratic country around the world."
He emphasized, "This is something that might work in North Korea or China, but how they think it can work in the Republic of Korea is simply baffling. This bill should be abolished, not amended."
