Busan City announced on the 30th that it will hold a business agreement ceremony for the ‘Alley Tourism Resource Project’ at 11 a.m. on the 31st in the 12th-floor conference room of City Hall.
The agreement will be signed with the attendance of Busan’s Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, the President of Busan Tourism Organization, the heads of Busanjin-gu and Suyeong-gu District Offices, and representatives from anchor institutions including the CEO of T-Square and the CEO of Bionhu Bookstore.
This event is being promoted to revitalize tourism in Suyeong-gu’s ‘Mangmi Alley’ and Busanjin-gu’s ‘Seomyeon Jeonridan-gil’, which were selected as the final project sites.
It serves as a launch ceremony for all project stakeholders, including Busan City, to join forces in creating infrastructure and establishing a sustainable tourism ecosystem.
In the future, ‘Mangmi Alley’ will feature the installation of artistic sculptures, creation of pocket rest areas, and various local projects such as art book fairs and conferences.
Additionally, ‘Seomyeon Jeonridan-gil’ will have awnings and media art installed throughout, and character content for Jeonridan-gil will be solicited to develop diverse content businesses including emoticons and goods.
A cultural psychology expert who participated in the project evaluation said, “Seeing Busan’s alleys in person felt vibrant and alive,” and added, “I want to introduce Busan’s true essence through insight tours and various other channels.”
