Seoul City Reports 512 New COVID-19 Cases by 9 PM, 24 Fewer Than Previous Day

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases was provisionally counted at 512 over a 21-hour period from midnight to 9 p.m. on the 28th.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 24 fewer cases than the previous day (27th) with 536 cases, and 7 more cases than last Saturday (21st) with 505 cases. The total number of cases for the entire day was 569 on the 27th and 499 on the 21st.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul has generally remained above 500 on weekdays for three consecutive weeks after soaring to 660 on the 10th of this month. On the 24th, the record was broken with a historic high of 677 cases, and the number stayed in the mid-to-high 500s for three days until the previous day.
