Kim Du-kwan: "We Must Not Ignore KDI Full Investigation Due to Yoon Hee-sook's Tearful Voice"
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Cheol-eung] Democratic Party presidential candidate Kim Du-gwan continued his offensive against Yoon Hee-sook of the People Power Party, saying, "I am reminded of a line from the drama 'Sky Castle.' 'You must trust me completely.' I absolutely cannot trust her," he said.
On the 27th, at the Democratic Party presidential primary debate hosted by Daejeon MBC, Kim said, "She once deceived the entire nation by claiming to be a tenant while owning two apartments, and the core of today's (Yoon's) press conference was her admission of her father's illegal speculation, which led to a makeshift plan to return the profits to society," he asserted.
He continued, "A strong investigation is necessary as much as she desires. We must not be swayed by (Yoon's) tearful voice and neglect a full investigation by KDI," he emphasized.
Kim added, "The public's anger soared to the skies over LH's speculation scandal, and I suspect KDI might be similar. Except for the director, none of the staff disclose their assets," pointing out, "It is also problematic that KDI seems to be solely responsible for the preliminary feasibility studies."
In response, Gyeonggi Province Governor Lee Jae-myung said, "A full investigation by KDI is absolutely necessary. All employees of national institutions and affiliated public organizations related to real estate and national land planning should be investigated."
