Boseong-gun Promotes Mobile Agricultural Machinery Repair Service

[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeonnam Boseong-gun (Governor Kim Cheol-woo) announced on the 27th that it is conducting ‘Visiting Agricultural Machinery Mobile Repair and Safety Education’ ahead of the harvest season when the use of agricultural machinery rapidly increases.

The mobile repair education for agricultural machinery, held at each village's farming site until the 16th of next month, is composed of a dedicated team including agricultural machinery instructors.

They will visit 12 towns and townships over 4 weeks, conducting inspections and repairs of agricultural machinery such as tillers, cultivators, brush cutters, and sprayers for about 200 farmers in 22 villages.

In addition, before the busy farming season when the use of agricultural machinery increases, safety education for farmers on machinery inspection, maintenance methods, and management will be conducted concurrently.

Through this, it is expected to improve farmers' self-maintenance capabilities and prevent safety accidents involving agricultural machinery during the farming season.

The Agricultural Technology Center has been promoting ‘Visiting Agricultural Machinery Mobile Repair Education’ targeting 75 villages in 40 sessions from March to September every year, and so far has inspected and repaired 326 agricultural machines in 56 villages over 29 sessions, receiving great responses from farmers.

An official from the Technology Center said, “Farmers in the jurisdiction who need inspection and repair of agricultural machinery before the full-scale farming season can check the local mobile repair schedule and anyone can attend,” urging many farmers to participate.
